The French Riviera has Mediterranean beach resorts, casinos, a Sunny mild climate, quaint villages perched on cliffs, interesting coastal fishing villages, and for the keen golfer, numerous golf courses.
The French Riviera along the Mediterranean Coast provides visitors with fashionable stylish surroundings in an intercontinental atmosphere. Cannes, home to many festivals/conventions, and famous for the Cannes film festival also has a lot more to offer: la Croisette, the old city, Castre Museum, Palm Beach Casino, and stunning beaches.
The old-fashioned harbour fishing villages have become popular tourist destinations, now full of pleasure yachts and crowded summertime beaches. The famous resorts of Juan-les-Pins and Cap d'Antibes attract the stylish jet set.
Up in the hills are the quieter medieval villages. Sainte-Agnès offers outstanding panoramic views of the sea and mountains. In St. Paul-de-Vence tourists can look through shops and galleries set on narrow winding cobblestone streets. Throughout the region are charming country homes and terraced private villas overflowing with colourful flowers.
Grasse is the perfume capital of the world. The factories invite tourists to visit and learn how French perfumes are made, which does make a great day out.
